The King's Tournament Kickstarter

I know I have neglected my page here and have been using Artstation (https://www.artstation.com/xyster13) and my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/artofmarkorrjr) most of the time now, but I did want to post on here as well that the card game I have been working on for several years now has launched it's Kickstarter campaign, http://kck.st/31HaPhZ.

It is a fast paced, fantasy inspired, dueling card game. If anyone is interested in that kind of game, please check it out and consider backing the project.

I'm ashamed to say I don't use this site as much as I used to, but you can now find my art on Fine Art America (https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/mark-orrjr/shop) or playmats and other gaming related gear at Inked Gaming (https://www.inkedgaming.com/collections/artists/mark-orr-jr) and you can follow me on Artstation (https://xyster13.artstation.com/) as well where I post the most frequently these days.

I am also open for commissions these days too. You can see my price breakdown here: https://xyster13.wixsite.com/artofmarkorrjr

I'm still quite active and will try to post here more often as well.

And for fun, here is a recent painting I did of a B-25 Mitchell.

Thanks for following,
Mark

Soldier Sketches

Something I've been doing recently in between working on various commissions or other projects is sketching various soldiers from the Vietnam and Korean Wars along with WWII. Here are a few that I've done so far.

Some more Warm Up Pieces

More Warm Up pieces from my art group. As with before I use these to experiment with new brushes and techniques. Especially working towards a natural feel with digital media. I don't usually spend a lot of time on these, anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour often depending on the amount of interruptions I get.

Been a really long time...

Probably been too long since I've posted on here, but believe it or not I've actually been working on things. Most of which I can't post on here yet but I have been working on warm up pieces and such so I figure I should start posting some of those here until my other projects wrap up. Once those do I will be posting lots more.

One of the art groups that I belong to does what we call Weekly Warm Ups, just topic suggestions that can be used in any way to inspire the artist. Could be spitpaintings, full pieces, practice with new techniques, etc. I thought I'd start posting those here to keep things current on here again.

For me, most of these warm ups are a chance for me to work with new brushes and techniques and see what directions I can push myself into.

Here are a few of my recent ones.

I'll post a few more older pieces soon too.
